5.4: And It’s All Around You

Five things I can see from where I’m sitting right now:

  1. Three different calendars
  2. A blue foam shark
  3. This, taped to the window on my office door
  4. A hundred thousand Post-It notes
  5. A purple Swingline stapler

I was thinking about doing five things I’m freaking out about right now but I couldn’t narrow the list down and it freaked me out even more.

5.3: Productive

Five products I use regularly (if not every single day, then almost!):

  1. Cetaphil Facial Cleanser (lately, it’s the only thing that doesn’t piss off my face)
  2. Aveda Confixor (keeps my hair from agitating itself into an Afro over the course of a humid day)
  3. Stila eyeshadow in Kitten (applied lightly, fools people into thinking I’ve slept well. Has the occasional side benefit of making people think I’ve gotten a haircut.)
  4. Angel Soft toilet paper (because for some reason expensive toilet paper feels like cloth and weirds me out)
  5. Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 (does nice favors for my lips)

I intentionally skipped some obvious things like deodorant and shampoo and such because I’m not terribly brand loyal with those products and tend to switch them a lot. I assure you that I do use them regularly, though!

5.2: Refrigerate!

I’ve decided that this list o’five crutch will be a theme this week, since I don’t have time for much else. Today, I give you five things that can pretty much always be found in my fridge:

  1. Diet Coke
  2. 1% milk
  3. Minute Maid Light Limeade or some similar low-sugar not-really-juice drink
  4. Eggs (right now I have a whole chicken farm of eggs in the fridge – thanks, Mom!)
  5. Jello Sugar-Free Pudding Snacks (the vanilla/chocolate mix kind)

Quick Quick Lickety-Split

Five stores that get a lot of my money:

  1. Target (duh. Target is life.)
  2. Kroger (groceries, duh again)
  3. Wal*Mart (as much as I hate to admit it, their toiletries and housewares are irresistibly inexpensive)
  4. CVS (I’m so excited about spending $80 on allergy medicine yesterday. Ragweed rocks! Shitty health insurance is rad!)
  5. Tie: Ann Taylor LOFT/Gap/Old Navy (for clothing items I can’t find at Target)

Now you – what are your top five? We’re just talking stores where you buy things, here – can count, but leave out the gas station. I don’t care if that rule makes no sense. Go for it!
