Together Again

September 3, 2003

Fall is on its way. I swear it is. Last night, walking out of the school after my sisters’ volleyball game (varsity and JV both kicked ass, go team) it was downright chilly. And so this morning, in blatant disregard for the anticipated high of 84 degrees, I broke out an item from my recent fall clothing purchases. Yay for my super-soft short-sleeved crewneck sweater in “purple fig.” Which is more like a “merlot,” but whatever.

Aside from the volleyball game I did exactly nothing interesting last night. In fact, I went to bed early, and could have gone to bed earlier but forced myself to stay up until at least ten. 9:30 bedtimes are for preschoolers and the infirm. As it is, I felt about 76 by going to bed before 10:30, but I was tired. Tiredness is a continuing theme here in Lorie land.

I had weird dreams last night about money, co-workers, college football, and sex, although all were mutually exclusive. Then I woke up and placed my nose directly on the grindstone, where it shall stay. Mostly.

Oh. Also. This morning one of the local radio stations had yet another computer crash (the third in three months), which kept them from playing anything from the playlist or any ads. So instead they played “Together Again” by Janet Jackson. Over and over again. For like an hour. And sometimes they’d talk in between songs, and occasionally they’d try to recreate their usual ads. I missed most of it, but according to my sisters it was pretty funny.

Okay, I’ve rambled enough. I’ve rambled so much that I actually planned to ramble about other things at some point in this post, and I have forgotten what other things those were. Later.

Ooh, one more thing – I got a press release! My first press release, woo. It’ll be in local newspapers sometime this week (maybe today?) and is currently on my employer’s home page. Okay, that’s all.

Congrady on the release. I am sure thats something that will make you proud. I was responable for a 1 day cycle of the “funky cold medina” on my radio station, which got me canned. opps. I just liked the song so much.
